On Thursday, June 12, 2025, a widespread Google Cloud outage affected services globally, including the Hi Rasmus platform. We want to share a summary of what happened, how we responded, and why you can continue to count on us moving forward.
What Happened
At approximately 11:08am PST, a global issue with Google Cloud infrastructure disrupted access to the Hi Rasmus app. Users were unable to log in or experienced connection issues. The outage was not a Hi Rasmus-specific incident, but it affected many major platforms that rely on Google’s systems. We saw partial recovery around 11:55am PST and full recovery around 3:00pm PST.
How We Responded
- Our engineering team immediately identified the root cause as part of the Google Cloud disruption.
- We monitored system health in real-time and worked to ensure data integrity across all customer accounts.
- While the issue was outside our direct control, we communicated updates across our Customer Support Team, website, email, and social channels to keep you informed.
- We verified platform stability and followed up with guidance to help teams get back on track once service was restored,
