Interval Recording in ABA
Interval recording is a data-collection method used in ABA to measure behaviors that occur frequently or for extended periods. The observer divides a session, or observation period, into equal time intervals (e.g., 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute) and records whether the target behavior occurred during each interval.

New RBT Recertification Requirements Take Effect in 2026: What You Need to Know
Beginning January 1, 2026, changes will be implemented in the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) recertification process. In an effort to streamline and professionalize ongoing training, the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) will replace the annual competency assessment with a new requirement: 12 hours of professional development (PDUs) to be completed every two years.
